Program Itinerary of The 6 Days Desert Tour From Casablanca to MARRAKECH:
Day 1: Casablanca – RABAT - CHEFCHAOUEN
The 6 day Morocco itinerary begins at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport or your accommodation. From there, we will head toward the Hassan II Mosque, and then drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. We will explore this enchanting city’s rich history and architectural wonders, including the Hassan Tower and the beautiful Kasbah of the Udayas.
After a delightful exploration of Rabat, we’ll continue our day toward Chefchaouen, a breathtaking small town nestled in the Rif Mountains of Morocco. Upon arriving, you’ll understand why it’s called the “Blue Pearl.” This city is renowned for its blue-washed buildings, narrow alleys, and mountainous backdrop. Overnight in Hotel/Riad.
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – FES
After a delightful breakfast at your riad, you will have a free morning to discover the narrow streets and alleys of the Medina, the old town of Chefchaouen, take your time to soak in the beauty, tranquility, and unique culture that Chefchaouen has to offer.
Head to Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square of Chefchaouen, and treat yourself to the flavors of delicious Moroccan cuisine, after enjoying a delightful lunch, we will take a scenic drive to Fes via Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman empire dating to 225 BC. Therefore you will have a guided tour of the site and learn about the Roman Empire.
After that, we travel to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco, where we will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the Sultan My Ismail, then to the granary and Sahrij Souani used for irrigation and plantation, we will include also the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.
Then we continue via the highway to Fes. Overnight accommodation at a fancy Riad.
Day 3: GUIDED TOUR OF FES
After breakfast in your riad, you will meet your local guide to start exploring Fes, ”the Spiritual City of Morocco”, You will spend the whole morning exploring the Madina and its alleys.
The tour starts by visiting the famous gate to the Royal Palace. After that, you will have the opportunity to walk through the Jewish quarter ”the Mellah”, and then visit most of the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), and the Madrassa Bouanania. Moreover, the Tanneries and the Najjarine fountain.
Then after lunch, you will drive outside the Medina to enjoy a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Lastly, overnight accommodation at the same riad.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MICHLIFN – ERACHIDIA – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA ERG CHEBBI DESERT
In the morning and after your breakfast, we will start traveling south to the Merzouga desert via the cedar woods of Azrou and Midelt. The first stop will be in Idrane, known as ”the Switzerland of Morocco”. On the way to the Sahara Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz Valley, you will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.
Afterward, Stop at the cedar forest where you will have the chance to see the Barbarian apes in their natural habitat, then continue to Zaida and Midelt to have a satisfying lunch at a restaurant on our route. After that, we will continue our journey along the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to enjoy its plentiful greenery and graceful palm trees.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Merzouga to get ready for our Camel trekking experience to explore the golden dunes in Morocco, the Camel caravan will be guided by a camel man to see the sunset from the middle of the highest sand dunes and spend the night there. Subsequently, overnight at a Berber desert camp where you will have your dinner.
DAY 5: MERZOUGA - TINEJDAD - TODGHA GORGE - DADES VALLEY
Today, we highly recommend you wake up very early to watch a bright sunrise over the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, and a hot shower in the desert camp, you will peacefully camel trek back to your departure point. You will meet your driver and leave the desert toward Tinghir and Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here you will have the chance to hike along its Valley.
Then we make our way toward Dades Gorge and get the opportunity to see the majestic sand castles and the extraordinary rock formations resembling monkey’s fingers. Lastly, overnight accommodation will be in a riad in the heart of the gorge. (dinner and breakfast).
DAY 6: DADES GORGE - OUARZAZATE - ATLASS MOUNTAINS - MARRAKECH
On the last day of our tour, we will drive through the Dades Valley to join the road to Ouarzazate via The rose valley «Kalaat M’gouna» and continue through the road of thousands of kasbahs passing by Skoura palm grove until we arrive at Ouarzazate, named ” Africa Hollywood “.
After a visit to Atlas Studio (Optional), we’ll drive straight to Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its famous and oldest kasbah «castle» It’s a UNESCO in 1986, Many films were shot here, such as The kingdom of heaven, Babel, Gladiator, etc.
Lunch break will be near the kasbah, and we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n Tichka and many Berber villages nearby. We will arrive at Marrakech in the evening and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding your unforgettable Morocco itinerary 6 days tour.
