Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley [353 km]
We will pick you up from your Riad/Hotel to start your 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will drive through the stunning High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-N-Tichka pass. During the drive, your driver/guide will make stops at picturesque locations, and you are welcome to request more stops at your convenience.
Then we proceed to Dades Valley via Ouarzazate to visit the ancient Kasbah of Taourirt and the well-known film studios. Following a delightful lunch, our journey proceeds towards the fascinating town of Skoura and the enchanting Rose Valley, enjoying your drive along the famous One Thousand Kasbahs Road, and to Kelaat M’gouna, renowned for its roses products.
As we arrive at Dades Gorge, we will get ready to enjoy the stunning rock formations often referred to as ”Monkey fingers”, then make your way to your accommodation in the Dades Gorges area, enjoy dinner, and a well-deserved overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga [275 km]
Departure in the morning after a delicious breakfast towards Merzouga dunes. Firstly, we will set off for Tinghir, where you will get the chance to marvel at a stunning oasis and historical old kasbahs, which once housed Jewish and Berber communities side by side.
Your destination is Todra Gorge, in this gorgeous place, there is one of the most amazing canyons in the world! The peaks rise to 320 m, which meanders its source in the High Atlas Mountains.
We will stop for a satisfying lunch en route, then we will head to the Merzouga desert through Tinejdad and Erfoud with their palm groves. Upon arrival, your camel guide will be ready to lead you across the golden dunes to your Berber camp.
On the way, you will stop, try sandboarding, and watch a lovely Sunset over the highest dune of Merzouga. Then, spend a magical night in a luxury desert camp under a starry sky after a traditional dinner and a music party (Berber drums) with friendly guys.
Day 3: 4×4 DESERT EXCURSION (NOMAD FAMILY, KHAMLIA VILLAGE”: [57 KM]
Wake up early to watch a quiet sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast at the camp, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and its unique landscapes. Drive to another village called Khamlia, origin from southern African countries like Sudan and Mali, here we will listen to the Gnawa music played by the locals. Here we can also have lunch in a local restaurant to test the Berber pizza.
In the afternoon, return to Merzouga town and enjoy some free time to relax and soak in the beauty of the desert before we head to the Riad. Overnight and dinner included.
Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Daraa Valley - Ouarzazate: [360 km]
After breakfast, we start our journey towards Rissani, an ancient town with a rich history and cultural heritage. Explore the local market, known for its traditional crafts, spices, and unique products, and the chance to visit the famous Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty.
Continue our journey through the stunning Daraa Valley. Enjoy the scenic drive through this picturesque oasis valley, surrounded by palm groves, traditional villages, and beautiful landscapes. You’ll have several opportunities to stop and take pictures along the way.
After lunch, proceed to Ouarzazate via the charming Daraa Valley. Arrive at your accommodation in Ouarzazate in the evening.
Day 5: ouarzazate - Atlass Mountains - Marrakech: [190 km]
