Starting from the Red City, this 7-day Morocco itinerary includes everything: the High Atlas Mountains, the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and the movie studio.

MOROCCO ITINERARY 7 DAYS

Day1: Arrival to Marrakech - Transfert to your accommodation

Our knowledgeable driver/guide will pick you up from the airport and take you to your riad/hotel, then have the day to relax while exploring the main square Jemaa el Fna and the souks on your own.

Day 2: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

The 7-day Morocco itinerary starts after breakfast. You will leave Marrakech toward the Dades Valley, driving through the magical High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. Stops will be made for panoramic views of the breathtaking landscapes.

After that, we continue to explore the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its impressive architecture. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies and TV series, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones… Free time for lunch in a local restaurant near the Kasbah.

From there, proceed to ‘The gate of the desert’ Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studios.

Afterward, continue your drive towards the Dades Valley, known for its stunning rock formations. Overnight in a Riad within the Dades gorges.

Day 3: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After a delicious breakfast, turn back within the valley to see the dramatic rock formations called ”the monkey fingers” and lush palm groves. Then we leave Dades Valley towards Todra Gorges in Tinghir, where you will see the scenic landscapes of the old Berber villages overlooking the canyon.

Arriving at the Todra Canyon, you will follow the 300m high red cliff to experience their preferred spot. From there, we continue our trip to Tinejdad, where we will have lunch, and afterward, we will leave for the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.

Once there, prepare for an unforgettable desert experience. Our experienced Camel man will be waiting for us to discover the magical dunes of the Erg Chebbi. You will have a stop to enjoy the views, do sandboarding, and watch the breathtaking Sunset.

Afterward, before spending the night in an equipped desert camp, you will have a delicious dinner and a music party with friendly guys around the fire and under a starry sky.

Day 4: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes

To begin the day, we recommend an early start to watch the Sunrise over the Erg Chebbi’s dunes. After a traditional breakfast in your camp, your driver will be ready to lead you on the next part of your adventure to Fes.

We will pass through the town of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, and drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves and picturesque gorges.

Then, we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Passing by the cities of Midelt for lunch and Azrou, where we might see the Barbary monkeys. After that, we continue to Ifrane, known for its European-style architecture and nicknamed “Little Switzerland”.

By late afternoon, we will reach Fes. Overnight in your hotel/riad.

Day 5: Guided tour sightseeing Fes

We will start the sightseeing tour with a knowledgeable local guide to explore the oldest city in Morocco. First stop will be at the magnificent Royal Palace Gate, followed by a visit to the Mellah, the historic Jewish Quarter.

Then, you’ll drive to enjoy the magical views from the Borj Sud fortress, which offers a stunning overlook of the ancient medina. After that, you will visit the Ceramic Village, where you will witness traditional craftsmanship in action.

Next, accompanied by the local guide, you will enjoy a walking tour through the old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll explore the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine—considered the oldest existing university in the world—and the colorful Chouara Tanneries, where leather is dyed using centuries-old methods.

After finishing the tour and having lunch, you will drive back to the Riad with free time in the afternoon to explore more places in the city. Overnight in the Riad or Hotel.

Day 6: Fes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your riad, you will head to the blue city of Chefchaouen. On the way, we’ll stop to visit the archaeological site of Volubilis and gain insight into Moroccan life during the Roman Empire. This ancient Roman city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Then, we continue our journey toward Chefchaouen, a picturesque town painted in shades of blue. Its striking blue-washed buildings create a dreamlike atmosphere that captivates visitors.

Relax at a charming riad in the heart of the city, and you will have free time in the afternoon to explore the narrow streets adorned with colorful pots of flowers and browse the local markets for unique handicrafts. Enjoy a comfortable night’s rest.

Day 7: Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca

On the last day of our Morocco itinerary 7 days, and after a Moroccan breakfast. We will leave Chefchaouen and head south towards Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Upon arrival in Rabat, we will see the crenelated red ocher walls and visit the famous Hassan II tower, the Mohamed 5 mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.

Continue your journey towards Casablanca. We will drop you off at the hotel or the airport, depending on the time of your departure, marking the conclusion of your 7 days tour from Marrakech with Desert Morocco Tours.
